When it comes to movies and shows, you have options with the AVR-X2800H, as it supports 7.2-channel speaker setups, as well as immersive 5.2.2-channel configurations with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for height-based surround. The receiver delivers on high-end video as well, with up to 8K video support on three of the six HDMI inputs and both outputs. Add in HEOS built-in for wireless audio in any room, and you have a quality centerpiece to your home’s entertainment options.

HEOS BUILT-IN

If you have HEOS-compatible speakers in your home, you can wirelessly stream online music to any of them and control it all with the HEOS app or your voice via Google Assistant. Please note that Google Assistant voice control is only available in the U.S.

AIRPLAY 2 & SIRI

For Apple device owners, you can stream content to the X2800H using AirPlay 2. You can also group any AirPlay-compatible speakers you may have for whole-home streaming.

AMAZON ALEXA

If you own an Echo, Dot, or other Alexa-compatible speaker, you can control the X2800H with your voice. Speak commands to adjust the volume, skip tracks, switch inputs, and more.

HI-RES AUDIO VIA USB

Another way to play back music is via the from USB-A port. Connect an optional flash drive for Hi-Res Audio playback up to 24-bit/192 kHz, with support for MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG-4/AAC, FLAC, and ALAC formats.

MULTI-SOURCE/MULTI-ROOM

Supporting two-zone audio, the Denon AVR-S970H will let you pair a second set of speakers in another room. One room can playback a source in 5.1, while the other plays in 2-channel stereo. When set up, each room can listen to their own audio source.

AUDYSSEY ROOM MEASUREMENT

Using the Audyssey suite of EQ software and included Audyssey measuring microphone, you can precisely calibrate your speaker system to your specific room. For even more fine-tuning and customization, you can change what’s provided with the Audyssey MultiEQ XT Editor app.

BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER

If it’s late at night and you want to watch a movie without disturbing anyone, you can pair your favorite Bluetooth headphones to the AVR-X2800H. As an added bonus, you can stream to headphones and use your speaker system simultaneously. This is ideal for letting someone who’s hearing impaired enjoy via headphones, as everyone else listens through the speakers.
